About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Senior Care Professional to join our team at Barchester Healthcare.

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and dedicated individual to lead a team of care staff, providing high-quality, person-centred care and support to our residents.

The successful candidate will have NVQ Level 3 or Advanced Diploma in Health & Social Care, with previous experience in a residential care setting and proven team leadership skills.

As a Residential Senior Care Assistant, you will be responsible for training, supervising and delegating duties on shift, as well as supporting with the administering and ordering of medication, reviewing and updating resident care plans and risk assessment, and liaising with GP's, district nursing teams and resident family members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of care staff, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality care delivery
  • Train and supervise care staff, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide excellent care
  • Develop and implement effective care plans, taking into account individual resident needs and preferences
  • Liaise with external healthcare professionals, including GP's and district nurses
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
