As a Senior Social Care Professional at Sanctuary Personnel Ltd, you will be working directly with children, young people, and their families to ensure their safety and well-being. This role involves using the Signs of Safety methodology to empower families to find solutions while maintaining compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.

  • You will carry out in-depth assessments of social need and risk to children, focusing on parental capacity and potential for change.
  • Recognize indicators of harm and risk, including physical, emotional, and sexual abuse, as well as neglect.
  • Consider the possibility of Child Sexual Exploitation, grooming, female genital mutilation, and enforced marriage, which pose risks to children.
  • Utilize reflective supervision, research, and guidance to acknowledge professional limitations and seek advice when necessary.
  • Collaborate with senior staff and managers through available support systems, including supervision, appraisal, mentoring, and co-working.
  • Navigate the family and youth justice systems in England, utilizing legal powers and duties to support families, protect children, and care for those in the public system.

Requirements:

  • Social Work degree or equivalent qualification
  • Social Work England Registration
  • Knowledge of UK legislation relevant to children and families
  • Experience working with children, young people, and their families
