Job Details

We are seeking a highly skilled and committed Qualified Social Worker to join our Duty and Assessment Team. As a Qualified Social Worker, you will be conducting assessments, managing risk, and making crucial decisions for children and families.

Key Responsibilities and Requirements

This is a demanding role that requires excellent communication skills, thorough assessment capabilities, and a deep commitment to child protection and safeguarding. You will be working with vulnerable children and families, providing support and guidance to ensure their safety and well-being.

  • Conduct initial assessments and make informed decisions based on children's safety and welfare
  • Manage a caseload of complex cases, ensuring statutory responsibilities are met
  • Engage with children, families, and other professionals to create comprehensive assessments and support plans
  • Work collaboratively within the Duty and Assessment Team to provide immediate support for children and families in need
  • Attend strategy meetings, case conferences, and court proceedings as required
Qualifications and Benefits
  • Qualified Social Worker with current Social Work England registration
  • Proven experience in a Duty and Assessment or frontline child protection role
  • Strong understanding of child safeguarding practices, legislation, and procedures
  • Excellent communication and assessment skills
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
