About the Opportunity

Sanctuary Personnel Ltd is a leading recruitment agency specialising in social care placements. We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Assessing Social Worker to join our Fostering Team as a permanent position.

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting assessments of new and existing foster carers, liaising with project support and therapeutic teams, and supporting Local Authorities Supervising Social Workers. This full-time role offers a competitive salary of up to £48,000 per annum and is based in Northamptonshire.

Job Description:

  • Assess the suitability of potential foster carers, including home visits and paperwork review.
  • Develop and implement training plans for foster carers, ensuring they meet key performance indicators.
  • Work closely with project support and therapeutic teams to ensure smooth service delivery.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, providing evidence of service outcomes.

Person Specification:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a Fostering Service.
  • Degree in Social Work or equivalent qualification.
  • Registration with the relevant health professional council/governing body (Social Care England).
