Job Description

We are seeking a permanent Social Worker to join our Fostering Assessment Team on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out assessments, managing cases, and attending multidisciplinary teams to plan care programmes.

  • Conduct thorough assessments to formulate support plans for service users, ensuring their needs are met and goals are achieved.
  • Manage complex cases, monitoring and reviewing situations to adjust support as necessary, promoting positive outcomes for all parties involved.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary teams and meetings to develop and implement care programmes, collaborating with colleagues and stakeholders to achieve shared objectives.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, ensuring decisions are fully evidenced and transparent.
  • Provide written and verbal evidence in court proceedings, conducting assessments related to ongoing cases.
Required Qualifications and Experience

To be considered for this role, applicants must possess a Social Work degree or equivalent qualification. Additionally, they must be registered with Social Work England and have knowledge of relevant UK legislation pertaining to children and families.

  • Hold a Social Work degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Be registered with Social Work England.
  • Have a strong understanding of UK legislation relevant to children and families.
  • Demonstrate experience working with children, young people, and their families, showcasing excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
