Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Senior Social Worker to join our team in Northamptonshire. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing new and existing foster carers, gathering information, and providing reports on potential carers' identified needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Complete assessments of new and existing foster carers.
  • Gather information from potential carers to progress checks and undertake assessments.
  • Liaise with Project Support, Team Manager, and Systemic Family Therapist to review assessments.
  • Liaise with Local Authorities Supervising Social Worker and Innovates Therapeutic Team Manager about foster carer skills and needs.
  • Provide reports on potential carers' identified needs to inform training and/or therapeutic intervention planning.
  • Support and upskill Local Authorities Supervising Social Workers in assessments and their role.
  • Have regard for the cultural needs of children and families from black and minority ethnic groups.
  • Ensure high standards of record keeping and report writing.
  • Provide on-call support as part of the therapeutic team.

Requirements:
  • Social Work Qualification or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience of working in a Fostering Service.
  • Registration with relevant health professional council/governing body (Social Care England).
