About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Executive to join our team at Ernest Gordon Recruitment. As a Business Development Executive, you will be responsible for driving sales performance through a range of networking and marketing strategies, and securing the best business opportunities to increase profitability and promote growth within the company.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct market research to identify customers, market trends, and competitors, as well as market demand, customer needs, and growth opportunities.
  • Stay updated on industry news, regulations, and advancements.
  • Follow up on leads generated through channels such as trade shows, referrals, and marketing campaigns.
  • Build and nurture relationships with new and existing customers, including site visits.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to develop tailored proposals and solutions for customers.
  • Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing agreements with customers to secure new business opportunities.
  • Manage the sales pipeline by tracking leads, opportunities, and sales activities, monitoring progress against sales targets and objectives, and adjusting strategies as needed.
  • Forecast sales projections and prepare regular reports for review.
  • Follow up post-sale to gather feedback, assess satisfaction levels, and identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling.
  • Network with industry peers, attend conferences, and participate in relevant events to expand professional networks.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in technical sales relating to engineering.
  • Proven track record achieving sales targets and driving growth.
