SEN Classroom Support Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated SEN Classroom Support Specialist to join our team at Academics Ltd. As an SEN Classroom Support Specialist, you will provide comprehensive support to children with varying levels of SEN in local primary schools.

About the Role:

The ideal candidate will have experience working with children with SEN, excellent communication skills, and a caring attitude. This role involves working closely with classroom teachers to implement education plans, adapt learning materials, and provide tailored support to meet each child's unique needs.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive support to students with diverse SEN requirements in classroom settings.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers to develop and implement personalized education plans.
  • Assist with daily tasks such as personal care and mobility as needed by the students.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages students to achieve their full potential.
  • Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback to teachers and SEN coordinators.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or similar role within an SEN setting is essential.
  • A relevant qualification, such as a Level 2/3 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning, is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of SEN best practices and strategies for supporting children with additional needs.
  • Excellent communication skills, patience, and a caring attitude.
  • Ability to work flexibly and adapt to different school environments.
  • An enhanced DBS check is required.
