Primary SEN Teaching Support Professional

We are seeking compassionate and experienced Special Educational Needs (SEN) professionals to work in various local primary schools as part of Academics Ltd.

About the Role:

This exciting opportunity is for a highly motivated and dedicated individual who will support children with varying levels of SEN, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, and learning disabilities. The ideal candidate will work closely with classroom teachers to implement education plans, adapt learning materials, and provide tailored support to meet each child's unique needs.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive support to students with diverse SEN requirements in classroom settings.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers to develop and implement personalized education plans.
  • Assist with daily tasks such as personal care and mobility as needed by the students.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages students to achieve their full potential.
  • Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback to teachers and SEN coordinators.
  • Promote social and emotional development, helping students build confidence and form positive relationships with peers.
Key Requirements:
  • Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or similar role within an SEN setting is essential.
  • A relevant qualification, such as a Level 2/3 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning, is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of SEN best practices and strategies for supporting children with additional needs.
  • Excellent communication skills, patience, and a caring attitude.
  • Ability to work flexibly and adapt to different school environments.
  • An enhanced DBS check is required.
