About the Job

Academics Ltd seeks qualified and experienced SEN Teaching Assistants to join our team in local primary schools.

Job Description:
  • Supporting pupils with diverse SEN needs in class and smaller groups.
  • Collaborating with teachers to develop individualized learning plans and adjust materials as needed.
  • Providing assistance with daily care, movement, and other tasks required by students.
  • Cultivating a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere that promotes student achievement.
  • Maintaining records of student progress and offering feedback to teachers and SEN coordinators.
  • Fostering social and emotional growth among students, enhancing their confidence and relationships with peers.
  • Cooperating with colleagues, parents, and external professionals to secure the best outcomes for students.
Requirements:
  • Essential experience as a Teaching Assistant, especially in SEN settings.
  • PREFERRED: Relevant certification like Level 2/3 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning.
  • Knowledge of SEN best practices and strategies for supporting children with extra needs.
  • Effective communication, patience, and empathy.
  • Adaptability in different school environments.
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
What We Offer:
