Experienced SEN Teaching Assistant Wanted

Tradewind Recruitment is working with an all-through special school in Erdington, providing exceptional education and support to students with a range of special educational needs. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced teaching assistant to provide specialist 1:1 support to a pupil in Key Stage 4.
About the Role:We are looking for a skilled professional to work closely with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to ensure the student receives personalised support and intervention. You will develop and implement individualised education plans (IEPs) and strategies tailored to the student's unique needs and abilities.
Responsibilities:- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to ensure effective support and intervention
- Implement IEPs and strategies to support students with complex needs
- Provide specialist 1:1 support to a pupil in Key Stage 4
- Previous experience working as a SEN Teaching Assistant in a special school setting
- Understanding of Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) and Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD)
- Previous experience working with challenging behaviour
- Patience, empathy, and a nurturing approach to working with children with SEN
Salary: £28,000 - £32,000 per year, full-time role 8:30am-3:30pm.
