Teaching Assistant Opportunity

Long Term Futures Ltd is seeking a skilled Teaching Assistant to join our team in Birmingham. As a SEN Teaching Assistant Lead, you will play a vital role in supporting students with social, emotional, and mental health needs.

About the Role

You will be responsible for leading lessons in the absence of the teacher, helping to ensure an inclusive and engaging learning environment. The school prides itself on its innovative teaching methods and adaptive approach to supporting students with SEN.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Leading lessons in the absence of the teacher
  • Supporting students with SEN through group activities and individual sessions
  • Collaborating with the school team to develop and implement effective behaviour management strategies
  • Maintaining accurate records of student progress and developing strategies to support their learning and emotional regulation
What We Are Looking For

We are looking for someone with:

Holding an HLTA qualification (preferred but not essential)Previous experience working with children with SEN, particularly those with ASD and emotional health needsThe ability to work independently and as part of a teamA valid DBS and the ability to provide two references
