Teaching Assistant Role: Learning Support Assistant (SEN)

TeacherActive is seeking a committed Learning Support Assistant (SEN) to work in a Primary school in Great Barr.

The ideal candidate will hold a Level 3 NVQ certificate in Children's Learning and Development or equivalent, with a minimum of 6 months experience supporting students with Special Educational Needs.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Support the teacher with daily classroom tasks and organization
  • Deliver one-to-one support to students requiring extra help
  • Develop and implement engaging group activities to enhance student learning
  • Collaborate with the class teacher to create effective lesson plans

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Level 3 NVQ certificate in Children's Learning and Development or equivalent
  • Minimum of 6 months experience working with children with SEND / Special Educational Needs and Disabilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Hourly Rate:

£12.50 - £15.00 per hour.
