Role Overview

We are seeking an SEN English Teacher to provide focused support in a supportive team environment. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children or young people with special educational needs and be committed to engaging and inclusive teaching methods.

About the Role

This role involves working with SEN students, helping them achieve their learning goals and fostering a positive classroom experience. As an SEN English Teacher, you will deliver GCSE/Functional Skills English to students with additional needs, including autism, ADHD, Down s Syndrome, and other learning disabilities.

The class sizes are capped at eight students, and additional TA support is provided. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a focused, supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Delivering GCSE/Functional Skills English to SEN students
  • Creating Schemes of Work (SOW) and lesson plans, supported by a catalogue of resources
  • Working with children or young people with special educational needs
Requirements
  • QTS Qualified
  • Minimum of four years experience in a school or college setting
  • Proficiency in creating lesson plans and schemes of work
