Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Post Office Branch Manager to lead our team in Scarborough Store. As a key member of our retail team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, managing branch operations, and driving sales growth.

About the Role:

  • Lead a team of counter assistants to provide outstanding customer service and achieve business goals.
  • Manage branch operations, including cash handling, security, and compliance with current legislation and Post Office Ltd. requirements.
  • Collaborate with the Cluster Manager to identify cost savings and sales opportunities through analysis of profit and loss statements.
  • Support employee lifecycle from recruitment to appraisals, training, and disciplinary procedures.

Requirements:

  • Retail management or leadership experience, preferably with financial products or high-value cash transactions.
  • Experience in supporting delivery of store goals, including maximizing sales, controlling shrink, and knowledge of P&L accounts.
  • Ability to coach and mentor the team to improve performance.
  • Previous experience of working to and achieving stretching targets within tight budgets.

Salary and Benefits:

The estimated salary for this role is £45,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a range of benefits, including a pension scheme, holidays (33 days including bank holidays), employee discounts (up to 50%), and access to our Employee Assistance Programme.
