About the Role

The Senior E-commerce Trading Executive is a key position within our team, working closely with the E-commerce Trading Manager and cross-functional teams to drive business growth and deliver exceptional results for The Sports Edit.

Key Responsibilities
  • Site Trading: Utilize trading tools to identify and optimize site navigation, search, and customer journeys across devices.
  • Commercial Analysis: Use commercial understanding to analyze and report on key online metrics using Google Analytics and identify opportunities to optimize site performance and conversion across devices.
  • Site Merchandising: Responsible for overall site merchandising, analyzing customer behavior using heat map tools, GA data, and managing search and merchandising tools to optimize landing pages.
  • Site Content: Oversee briefing and creation of site assets, working alongside the E-commerce Trading Executive to optimize key landing pages using the search and merchandising tool and supporting delivery of key campaigns on site.
  • Product Launch: Oversee the product launch schedule, working with the Buying and Merchandising teams and E-commerce Assistant to ensure products are prepared to go live on time.
  • Marketing and Promotions: Work closely with Marketing and Buying and Merchandising teams to align and deliver promotions and key campaigns on site.
  • Development and Testing: Support the E-commerce Trading Manager in development sprints, running post-development testing.
  • Technical Optimization: Work with E-commerce Trading Manager to monitor and review existing Tech stack to enhance app performance and optimize functionality.
  • SEO: Management of SEO dashboard - weekly and monthly reporting, analyzing keyword performance, site speed, site crawls, top organic pages on site.
Requirements
  • Trading Understanding: Strong trading understanding and analytical insight with experience using Google Analytics or similar tools.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Comfortable using and acting on data to optimize site performance.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years experience working in an E-commerce Executive or Trading role and willing to push your personal professional development to the next level.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal and team-building capabilities, ability to develop strong trust-based relationships.
  • Academic Background: Strong academic background.
  • SEO Knowledge: Understanding or experience in SEO.
  • Technical Skills: Knowledge of HTML and basic online content editing, and a technical mindset.
