Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Matron and Quality Lead to join our Quality Improvement and Clinical Excellence Team at Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Quality Improvement and Clinical Excellence
  • Support and facilitate ward and departmental teams to ensure the highest standards of clinical care are continuously measured and improved.
  • Facilitate innovative and evidence-based clinical practice through professional leadership and supporting clinical teams.
  • Plan, lead, and implement quality improvement programs to improve the quality of care, patient safety, and experience.
  • Facilitate and coordinate corporate, local commissioning, and national initiatives associated with the quality agenda.
  • Implement local monitoring systems/tools to ensure ward/department compliance with statutory and national standards.
  • Facilitate relevant patient harm reduction programs across the trust, according to individually agreed portfolios.
Leadership and Collaboration
  • Actively lead and participate in all relevant meetings, promoting quality, safety, and the Care Excellence Framework across the multi-disciplinary team.
  • Build relationships and communicate effectively with various stakeholders, including patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
Person Specification
  • Registration with the NMC or HCPC.
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent experience.
  • Significant senior clinical experience within healthcare.
  • Experience of working in quality improvement projects.
  • Ability to build relationships and communicate effectively with various stakeholders.
