ICBC Standard Bank is seeking a highly skilled Surveillance IT Technical Specialist to join their team in London. As a key member of the Surveillance Governance and Controls (G&C) team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the technical rule reviews and enhancements are progressed in a timely manner.

The successful candidate will have strong business analyst experience and technical expertise in database query and code review. A good understanding of SQL and technical knowledge of Surveillance systems across market abuse and financial crime risk is also essential. In addition, experience working with Compliance business stakeholders and good drafting and presentation skills are necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform technical analysis during rule reviews to ensure accurate understanding of rule logic and parameters.
  • Document requirements stemming from identified issues or enhancements.
  • Assist with parameter assessments / above and below the line testing.
  • Work closely with Compliance (Control) IT to understand rule logic, consider technical approaches to enhancements, estimate development timelines etc for prioritisation.
  • Formulate testing approaches, test plans and test cases.
  • Assist the team with UAT.
  • Assist with root cause analysis and follow-up of corrective action in relation to data gaps or other data related issues.
  • Updating rule specification documents.
  • Other general work items to assist and expedite the G&C work programme.

Required Skills, Knowledge, Experience and Values:

  • Strong Business Analyst experience.
  • Strong technical experience (database query, code review etc.).
  • Good knowledge of SQL.
  • Technical understanding of Surveillance systems across market abuse and financial crime risk.
  • Experience working with Compliance business stakeholders.
  • Good understanding of business change and software development life cycles.
  • Strong drafting and presentation skills.
  • Wholesale or Commercial banking background.
  • Product knowledge: OTCs, Swaps, Derivatives, Bonds, ETDs and Cash Equity nice to have.
  • Experience of working in a FO domain nice to have.
  • Mandarin nice to have.

Salary: The estimated salary for this position is £60,000 - £80,000 per annum.
