Job Summary

The Homeownership Team Leader will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Homeownership Officer/s and Homeownership Administrator, primarily based in the Epsom office, with occasional travel to Tunbridge Wells.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide a professional housing management service to the homeownership portfolio, ensuring compliance with leases/transfers and statutory obligations.
  • Collaborate with the Homeownership Manager to develop and deliver plans to improve the service and working practices.
  • Monitor performance and implement plans to improve performance as needed.
  • Work with other departments to ensure compliance with leaseholder requirements, including Section 20 notices, sinking funds, and service charge budgets.
  • Manage external contracts, such as management agreements, to achieve best value.
  • Liaise with solicitors, lenders, and other professionals regarding leasehold issues and rent/service charge arrears.
  • Provide accurate data, write reports, and make recommendations to the Homeownership Manager as required.
  • Promote best practice in leasehold management and undertake estate and housing management inspections as needed.
  • Assist the New Business/Development Team with leasehold management issues and charges related to new schemes.
  • Deal with complaints in line with TCH's policy and maintain relevant budgets and databases.
Requirements
  • Full driving licence and access to a car.
  • Experience of managing leasehold or shared ownership housing.
  • Demonstrable ability to build and sustain effective external networks.
  • Able to analyse information and data logically and reach sound conclusions.
