About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Surveyor and Project Manager to join our Asset Investment team at Town & Country Housing. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing a proactive and customer-focused surveying and project management service to manage existing projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out surveying and project management duties, including external and internal communal area inspections, to identify and justify intended works to leaseholders.
  • Project manage existing projects, including those that have been tendered and the External Planned Maintenance programme, to ensure effective delivery and timely completion.
  • Prioritize urgency of repairs to properties and blocks, cross-referencing with stock data, and issue tenders to approved contractors.
  • Effectively manage the delivery of works by monitoring progress against targets and liaising with contractors.
  • Provide technical direction and support to internal and external stakeholders, including contractors, staff, and residents.
  • Ensure effective resident communication before and during the works period, including clear communication with the association and contractors.
  • Provide an effective response to complaints from stakeholders and resolve issues satisfactorily.
  • Review party wall notices and aids and adaptation specifications, agreeing with local authorities and occupational therapists as necessary.

Requirements:

  • At least three years' experience in surveying and project management, preferably in a housing and technical surveying environment.
  • A valid driving license.
  • Excellent technical knowledge and awareness of housing legislation, positive practice, and health and safety.
  • Technical surveying skills and experience of writing specifications of work.
  • Good planning and organizing skills.
