Job Title: Business Development Executive

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Executive to join our team at Psixty Recruitment Ltd. As a Business Development Executive, you will play a key role in acquiring and building relationships with brokers, predominantly via telephone.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Acquiring and Building Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with brokers, identifying new business opportunities and expanding our presence in the market.
  • Fielding and Responding to Queries: Respond to queries from finance brokers, providing expert knowledge and guidance on our products and services.
  • Educating Brokers: Educate brokers on maximizing the use of our products and services, highlighting the benefits and value proposition.
  • Increasing Broker Referrals: Increase the number of brokers referring leads by outlining the benefits of our company for both them and their clients.
  • Recording Activity and Maintaining a Prospects Pipeline: Record all activity and maintain a prospects pipeline, tracking progress and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Regularly update the Sales Director on progress against targets and produce reports as requested, providing analysis and insights on broker activity.
  • Networking and Business Development: Seek opportunities for networking to expand contacts, knowledge, and new business opportunities.
  • Industry Expertise: Develop expert knowledge of the industry and commercial awareness to enable the development and growth of new business opportunities and achieve sales.
  • Process Improvement: Recommend process improvements to enhance the success in securing new business opportunities.
  • Tracking Loan Applications and Leads: Track loan applications and leads from brokers, ensuring timely and efficient processing.
  • General Analysis and Reporting: Assist with general analysis and reporting on broker activity on a monthly basis.
  • Building Awareness and Reputation: Build awareness and a credible reputation for our company in the broker community.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 6 months+ experience of business development or similar sales experience; financial services sales, wealth management, investment management asset gathering.
  • Previous Experience: Previous experience working for a bank, finance broker, or lender would be advantageous.
  • Proven Track Record: Proven track record of hitting sales targets.
  • Complex Product Explanation: Some experience in explaining complex products or services to businesses, ideally with some familiarity of financial services.
  • Graduate Level Qualification: Graduate level qualification not essential but ideal.

  • Closing Deals: Ability to close deals and bring discussions/negotiations to a conclusion.
  • Solution-Driven Approach: Solution-driven approach to work, identify problems and find answers to them independently.
