About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Autism Spectrum Disorder Teaching Assistant to join our team at Vision for Education - Northampton. As a Learning Support Assistant for Students with Autism, you will work closely with students aged 11-16 who have been diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC).

Your primary responsibility will be to provide individualized support to these students, ensuring they receive the best possible education and reach their full potential.

You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, collaborating with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to develop and implement personalized plans for each student.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Providing one-to-one support to students with ASC, assisting with daily routines, and promoting independence.
  2. Assisting teachers with lesson preparation, implementation, and assessment.
  3. Developing and maintaining positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents/guardians.
  4. Contributing to the creation and implementation of Individual Educational Plans (IEPs) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs).
