Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant for Student with Autism

Location: Primary School in Hackney, London

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic primary school in Hackney as a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant. The role involves providing tailored individual support to a student with autism, helping them engage with the curriculum, develop social skills, and succeed in a structured setting.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience working with children with autism, an understanding of autism strategies, and strong communication and teamwork skills. They will be patient, empathetic, and nurturing, with a clear DBS check and legal right to work in the UK.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 support to a student with autism, focusing on their academic, social, and emotional development.
- Implement and adapt individual learning plans to meet the specific needs of the child.
- Collaborate with the class teacher and SENCo to create a structured and supportive learning environment.
- Monitor the child's progress, providing feedback to teachers and the SENCo, and adjusting strategies as needed.

Estimated Salary: £25,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending on experience.
