About the Role

MRK Associates is seeking an ambitious revenue manager to join their team as a Senior Cluster Revenue Manager on a permanent basis. This is a hybrid working role with 3 days in the office and 2 days from home.

This is a great opportunity for someone with a minimum of 2 years of experience in the hotel industry, working in a revenue management role. The company is rapidly growing with an impressive portfolio of hotels across the UK, offering a variety of different locations and settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Holistic Revenue Understanding: Develop a comprehensive understanding of hotel-generated revenues from meetings & events and rooms, delivering effective pricing for all market segments.
  • Revenue Maximization: Maximize hotels' performance versus its competitor set and/or budget targets by growing rooms revenue and RGI.
  • Meetings & Events Revenue Growth: Grow M&E revenue by utilizing revenue optimization to maximize hotel performance versus its competitor set and/or budgeted targets.
  • Insight-Driven Decision Making: Work closely with operational teams to capture insight, analysis, and recommendations to drive top-line sales.
  • Commercial Strategy Support: Collaborate with the commercial team to support sales strategy.
  • Forecasting and Budgeting: Generate Rooms and M&E revenue (where applicable) forecasts and budgets for all hotels within the area of responsibility; forecasting accuracy to meet agreed targets.
  • Market Intelligence: Understand the dynamics of the market and competitor market activity; link to the revenue planning process.
  • Data Management: Ensure proper data management, including inventory management, segmentation, and rate loading.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with pricing, strategy, and reporting teams to capture insight, analysis, and recommendations to drive top-line delivery.
  • Annual Budget Process: Participate in the annual budget process.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate levels of inventory, based on forecasted demand.
  • Restriction Methods: Use effective restriction methods in periods of high demand.
  • Regular Meetings: Conduct remote daily, weekly, and monthly revenue management meetings as set out in the agreed business processes.
  • Compliance and Reporting: Ensure compliance to reporting requirements, business processes, and checklists.
  • Channel Management: Highlight to hotels any issues on channels, such as OTA and website.
