Occupational Therapist Team Lead

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced occupational therapist to take on a leadership role within our dynamic Trauma and Orthopaedic team at King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. As a Team Lead Occupational Therapist, you will work closely with the clinical lead to oversee, coordinate, and develop the orthopaedic occupational therapy service.
Main Responsibilities- Manage a caseload of patients with complex health and social care needs, using evidence-based practice and client-centered principles to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate interventions.
- Provide specialist assessment, consultancy, and intervention of patients' occupational needs within the inpatient setting.
- Carry out clinical and professional leadership to a team of qualified members of staff, developing their clinical, teaching, and managerial skills.
- Contribute to the maintenance and development of the Trust Occupational Therapy service, participating in the planning, development, and evaluation of Occupational Therapy services within a designated area/team.
- Participate in the delivery of the Occupational Therapy development plan, contributing to the Trust's clinical governance arrangements and quality agenda.

Person Specification- Degree in Occupational Therapy and current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- Experience working with patients in an orthopaedic setting at a senior level, with a strong understanding of complex discharge planning.
- Leadership and first-line management experience, with the ability to supervise and appraise qualified staff or students.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work autonomously and set priorities.
- Ability to reflect and critically appraise own performance, with a commitment to personal and team development.
