Occupational Therapy Assistant

King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is a leading teaching trust with a turnover of £1 billion and over 15,000 staff across South East London. Our Therapy department is a key part of our service, with over 250 therapists working across Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, and Speech and Language Therapy.
Main DutiesThe successful candidate will assist Occupational Therapists in maintaining a high standard of patient care in Older Adults Frailty services. This will involve undertaking delegated clinical programmes of management, as well as general administration to support the running of the department. The specific clinical and administrative duties will vary from area to area.
As an Occupational Therapy Assistant, you will work under the direction of qualified Occupational Therapists and will require a period of induction and training to achieve the required competency to perform all tasks.
Requirements- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexibly, including weekends
- Good written, computer, organisational, and time management skills
- Fitness to assist in manual handling of patients
- Knowledge of occupational therapy and evidence of providing support to people with healthcare difficulties
