Occupational Therapist Team Lead

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and skilled occupational therapist to join our General Surgical team at the Princess Royal University Hospital. You will work closely alongside the clinical lead occupational therapist for Trauma & Orthopaedics, providing assessment, rehabilitation, and discharge planning for patients admitted to general and specialist surgical wards.
Main Duties- Oversee, coordinate, and develop the surgical occupational therapy service at the Princess Royal University Hospital.
- Provide specialist assessment, consultancy, and intervention of patients' occupational needs within the inpatient setting.
- Carry a caseload of patients with complex health and social care needs, using evidence-based practice and client-centered principles to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate interventions.
- Provide clinical and professional leadership to a team of qualified members of staff, developing their clinical, teaching, and managerial skills.
- Maintain a high standard of autonomous working and supervision of others in complex assessment, treatment, and discharge planning.
- Identify areas for service development and projects for the team to complete, proactively participating and motivating others to lead CPD sessions.
