Occupational Therapist Team Lead

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced occupational therapist to take on a leadership role within our dynamic Trauma and Orthopaedic team at the Princess Royal University Hospital. As a Team Lead, you will work closely with the clinical lead occupational therapist for general surgery to oversee, coordinate, and develop the orthopaedic occupational therapy service.
Main ResponsibilitiesAs a Team Lead, you will be responsible for:
- Managing a caseload of patients with complex health and social care needs using evidence-based practice and client-centered principles.
- Providing specialist assessment, consultancy, and intervention of patients' occupational needs within the inpatient setting.
- Leading a team of qualified occupational therapists and providing clinical and professional leadership.
- Developing and implementing service development projects to improve patient care and outcomes.
- Participating in the planning, development, and evaluation of occupational therapy services within the designated area/team.

RequirementsTo be successful in this role, you will need:
- A degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy and current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- Experience working with patients in an orthopaedic setting at a senior level.
- Experience supervising and appraising qualified staff or students.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work autonomously and set priorities.
- Advanced clinical reasoning skills and the ability to manage complex cases.
