This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced occupational therapist to join our dynamic Trauma and Orthopaedic team at King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. As a Team Lead, you will play a key role in overseeing, coordinating, and developing the orthopaedic occupational therapy service.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage a caseload of patients with complex health and social care needs, using evidence-based practice and client-centered principles to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate interventions.
- Provide specialist assessment, consultancy, and intervention of patients' occupational needs within the inpatient setting.
- Lead a team of qualified occupational therapists, providing clinical and professional leadership, and supporting their development and growth.
- Contribute to the planning, development, and evaluation of occupational therapy services within the designated area/team.
- Participate in the delivery of the occupational therapy development plan and contribute to the Trust's clinical governance arrangements and quality agenda.
- Degree in Occupational Therapy and current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- Experience working with patients in an orthopaedic setting at a senior level and experience supervising and appraising qualified staff or students.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work autonomously and set priorities.
- Ability to reflect and critically appraise own performance, with excellent presentation and training skills.
