Job Overview

The University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to fill the part-time position of Urology Support Secretary. This role requires close collaboration with the medical team to provide administrative support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Exercise sound judgment when dealing with queries and assist in managing inpatient waiting lists.
  • Plan and prioritize tasks to ensure timely correspondence and document management.
  • Adhere to departmental policies and strive for improved service delivery.
  • Operate office equipment and manage supplies efficiently.
  • Process documents, meeting notes, and surveys for specific projects, working independently within established guidelines and protocols.

Requirements:

  • A good general education, including GCSE English and Maths or equivalent qualifications.
  • Educated to NVQ Level 2 or equivalent certifications.

Skills and Experience:

  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office package.
  • Previous experience in a clerical post is desirable.

Personal Qualities:

  • Able to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Flexible working arrangements will be considered in line with trust policies.

This role demands excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work well under pressure. A flexible approach to working hours would be beneficial.

Salary and Benefits:

The salary for this position is £24,071 - £25,674 per annum pro rata, depending on experience.
