Care Navigator Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Care Navigator to join our team at Martlesham Heath Surgery, located in the affluent areas of Ipswich.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of dispensing principles, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality care navigation services, responding promptly and professionally to patient inquiries.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure patient safety and maintain accurate medical records.
About Our Practice:

Martlesham Heath Surgery is a small but close-knit practice utilizing SystmOne clinical system and collaborating with Wolsey PCN, a partnership among select GP practices in the area.

Job Requirements:

This role involves answering phone calls, managing inquiries, and triaging calls to relevant personnel while maintaining confidentiality and adhering to data protection regulations.

  • Prepare accurate medical documentation for clinical staff.
  • Support the practice in managing medical supplies, ordering stock, and maintaining clinical rooms.
  • Update and maintain patient information on NHS databases and/or practice management systems.
  • Generate reports on patient activity, appointment statistics, and performance metrics.
  • Manage payments for dispensed prescriptions and ensure compliance with financial procedures.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to access additional training and development programs.

Salary:

The estimated salary for this role is £25,000-£30,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Qualifications:

A minimum of NVQ level 2 in Dispensing or equivalent qualification is required.
