Kinetech Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced Desktop Support Analyst to join their team. This full-time position requires working on-site 4 days per week, offering a great opportunity to work in a vibrant creative business in Central Leeds.

Job Summary

This role involves providing 1st and 2nd Line technical support to employees, including in-person assistance for PC users and other hardware and software. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT support, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Log and resolve technical support requests in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Escalate complex issues to the 3rd line team as necessary.
  • Take ownership of tickets to ensure users are kept informed about the progress and outcome of their support calls.
  • Configure and deploy PCs and other technology, including new installations and redeployment of existing equipment.
  • Set up new starters from Active Directory user creation to ensuring all IT equipment is ready for use.
  • Remove access through proper procedures when a user leaves the business, ensuring all equipment is returned and repurposed.
  • Maintain existing PCs and other technology to appropriate standards by performing upgrades, new installations, booking repairs, and carrying out routine procedures.
  • Keep accurate inventory of hardware and software.
  • Contribute to the team's technical documentation, guidelines, and procedures, and ensure they are shared with users.
  • Assist with the planning and delivery of projects related to improving IT applications and services.
  • Work with other support and IT colleagues to ensure continuity of service for all users.
About You

To be successful in this role, you should have a minimum of one year's experience in a Service Desk role or similar. Familiarity with large corporate Active Directory structures will be advantageous. Experience using Microsoft O365 (Windows 10/11 and Office Suite), hardware troubleshooting knowledge, basic networking protocols, Mac OS experience, and communication skills are essential.
