About the Role

Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled Data Quality Improvement Specialist to join our Systems Support Team. As a key member of the team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and quality of data within our Electronic Patient Record (EPR) system, Rio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in data quality programs to ensure information meets national standards and requirements.
  • Configure Rio and Rio Mobile user accounts.
  • Identify and escalate/correct erroneous data.
  • Contribute to Trust-side deployment testing activities.
  • Monitor data quality against agreed standards and liaise with key staff to effect improvements.
  • Analyze and cleanse data extracted from clinical systems.
  • Produce data quality reports and liaise with team managers, user groups, and development teams to resolve issues.
  • Recommend and implement remedial action to improve data quality.

Requirements

  • Literate and numerate with ECDL or equivalent certified IT skills.
  • Experience of data entry and accurate information entry into electronic systems.
  • High-speed and accurate keyboard skills.
  • Ability to use initiative and work as part of a team.

Desirable Qualifications and Experience

  • Previous NHS experience.
  • Understanding of medical terminology.
  • Previous experience of Child Health Information System/Patient Administration Team.
  • Use of the National Care Records Service or Patient Demographics Service.
