About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Purchase Ledger Controller to join our team at Howard Tenens Logistics. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing multiple purchase ledgers, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial operations.

Responsibilities:
  1. Manage the Purchase Ledger mailbox and respond to queries in a timely and professional manner.
  2. Support the Purchase Ledger Administrator with tasks such as data entry and reconciliations.
  3. Cover for the Purchase Ledger Administrator during absences and ensure continuity of work.
  4. Review and maintain accurate records, including supplier statements and credit balances.
  5. Compile and post journals to write off penny balances and reconcile monthly supplier statements.
  6. Undertake coding and reconciliation of non-PO invoices and credit notes.
  7. Suggest and contribute to Purchase Ledger process improvements.
  8. Supervise the daily work of the Purchase Ledger Administrator and provide performance reviews.
Requirements:
  • Advanced Excel skills are essential.
  • Knowledge of Open Accounts is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft applications.
