We are seeking a highly organized Financial Ledger Specialist to join our team at First Base. This is a full-time, permanent role based in Stroud, Gloucestershire.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the daily Purchase Ledger mailbox and handling telephone enquiries. They will also support the Purchase Ledger Administrator in managing Smartmail exceptions and Sharepoint Inv_Queries folder.

Key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Responding to supplier queries and ensuring timely resolution of issues;
  • Reviewing and processing supplier invoices, including handling automatic PO matching failures;
  • Managing the reconciliation of supplier statements and ensuring discrepancies are resolved;
  • Overseeing the Aged Creditor Report, clearing items and ensuring swift resolution;
  • Tracking and resolving credit stop issues with suppliers promptly;
  • Approving and processing corrections for documents identified as incorrectly processed;
  • Supporting Year-End processes, audits, and finance reporting tasks;
  • Supervising the Purchase Ledger Administrator and assisting with their performance reviews.
Key Skills and Qualifications

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Able to work well under pressure and meet deadlines;
  • Familiarity with financial software and systems.

The estimated salary for this role is £38,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience.
