About This Role

We are seeking an experienced Financial Operations Manager to join our team at Howard Tenens Logistics. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our financial systems and processes.

The primary responsibility of this role is to manage the purchase ledger, ensuring accurate and timely financial administration. This includes handling incoming telephone enquiries, reconciling supplier statements, and resolving queries related to purchase ledgers.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the reconciliation of monthly supplier statements to Open Accounts, creating requests for manual corrective purchase or credit documents, and compiling and posting journals in purchase ledger to write off penny balances.

They will also be responsible for maintaining a list of suppliers who advise us are on credit stop, reviewing regularly credit balances within the Aged Creditor report, and undertaking to code non-PO invoice and/or credit note documents in eBis.

Responsibilities:

  • Reconcile supplier statements and resolve queries
  • Oversee the weekly review of supplier portals
  • Maintain a list of suppliers on credit stop
  • Review credit balances within the Aged Creditor report
  • Undertake coding of non-PO invoices and credit notes
  • Compile and post journals in purchase ledger
  • Support with audit preparation and sampling
  • Support with creation and/or maintenance of the Finance Ledgers Teams Handbook
  • Contribute to Purchase Ledger process improvements

Requirements:

  • Advanced Excel skills and knowledge of Open Accounts
  • Competent in all Microsoft applications
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
