The Role:

As Culinary Operations Director, you will have full responsibility for the operational and financial management of our school catering facilities. Your key objectives include delivering the highest quality of food and service, as well as driving sales through creative promotions and added value events.

Your core responsibilities will involve:

  • Leading and developing a high-performing kitchen team
  • Managing stock, food, and labour costs to achieve maximum efficiency
  • Ensuring consistency in food and service standards across all sites
  • Developing and implementing effective menu strategies to drive sales growth
  • Maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies
  • Conducting regular audits to ensure adherence to standards

About You

To succeed in this role, you will need to possess strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of culinary operations, and excellent financial acumen. Ideally, you will have:

  • A recognised qualification in culinary arts or a related field
  • Significant experience in managing large-scale kitchen operations
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety practices and legislation
  • A proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing costs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
