Numerix is seeking a highly skilled Cloud Operations Manager to oversee the company's Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) cloud infrastructure and services in the EMEA region. This individual will be responsible for ensuring the efficiency, reliability, and security of cloud-based systems and applications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategies for the operation and maintenance of cloud infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Lead a team of cloud operations professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and performance feedback.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement cloud-based solutions that meet business requirements.
  • Monitor and analyze cloud performance metrics and identify areas for improvement in scalability, efficiency, and cost optimization.
  • Oversee the implementation and maintenance of security measures, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Plan and execute disaster recovery and business continuity strategies for cloud-based systems.
  • Stay updated on emerging cloud technologies and industry trends, providing recommendations for their integration into existing infrastructure.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field (master's degree is a plus).
  • Minimum of 2 years of managing and leading cloud operations teams.
  • In-depth knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS); extensive experience in AWS infrastructure management, with a strong background in various AWS services.
  • Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, including native (serverless) AWS services, networking, storage, and security.
  • Strong understanding of AWS security and compliance best practices.
  • Experience with cloud deployment and automation tools, such as Docker, Terraform/CFT, or Ansible/TeamCity.
  • Proficiency in scripting and programming languages, such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools, such as CloudWatch.
  • Knowledge of ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) practices and frameworks.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, Solution Architect Associate or Professional certification.
  • Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) certification.
  • Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) certification.
  • ITIL 4 Foundation certification.
Location:

The role is open to EMEA w/ a preference for London. The role is expected to cover working hours for that timezone. Estimated salary: £80,000 - £110,000 per annum.
