About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Dietetic Assistant to join our team at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a Dietetic Assistant, you will play a critical role in supporting our dietitians in providing high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the department's role in patient catering by analyzing, coding, and providing allergy information for patient menus.
  • Assist patients requiring special diets in choosing and obtaining their required meals, snacks, and other nutritional products.
  • Act as an intermediary between the dietetic and catering departments to enhance communication and ensure optimal provision of nutrition for patients.
  • Assist dietitians and secretaries with administrative tasks, such as registering or amending patient registrations, tracking feeding pumps, and maintaining stock control.
  • Support dietitians in delivering aspects of dietetic care by reviewing, monitoring, and advising patients, and undertaking related administration.
  • Participate in project work and contribute to the education and training of staff on aspects of nutrition and nutritional screening.
  • Oversee the ordering, delivery, and payment of nutritional products, including tube feeds and sip feeds.
