International Patient Services Coordinator

Position Summary
The successful candidate will be an integral part of the Paediatric Dietetic Team, contributing to the effective delivery of the Children's Dietetic service. The team will provide necessary training and guidance for the clinical tasks and responsibilities outlined below. These tasks include managing patient appointments and referrals, coordinating specialized diets for inpatients, procuring feeds and specialized products, and supporting the operational processes of the milk kitchen.
Please be aware that this role involves manual handling responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Delivering administrative support to dietitians, including managing clinic schedules, overseeing waiting lists, handling patient appointment logistics, and maintaining departmental records.
- Monitoring inventory levels of feeds and placing orders as necessary to ensure adequate stock while minimizing waste.
- Preparing meal plans for inpatients and coordinating with the Catering department, including participation in routine meetings.
- Assisting with the administration of Home Enteral feeding for children transitioning home on Enteral Feeds (comprehensive training will be provided).
- Engaging effectively and compassionately with patients and their families/guardians through various communication channels, including face-to-face interactions, phone calls, and emails.
- Collaborating with external organizations involved in patient care (from Hospital to home) to facilitate safe discharges and ensure high-quality patient care.
- Utilizing available resources and seeking assistance to communicate with patients and relatives facing communication challenges, including non-English speakers and those with hearing impairments, arranging interpreters for appointments as necessary.
- Maintaining connections between the paediatric dietetic service and other departments within the Trust, including PALS, Manual Handling Advisors, and Mandatory Training officers, as required.
