About the Role

The Transport Coordinator is a key member of the team responsible for providing a high-quality, prompt, and efficient transportation service for patients and families under the care of Sobell House and Katharine House Hospices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Line manage the employed transport team and volunteer drivers.
  • Maintain the relevant databases capturing staff and volunteer activity and producing reports.
  • Deliver training to volunteers and staff pertinent to the transport role.
  • Assist in recruiting and interviewing volunteers.
  • Ensure all fleet vehicles are kept in good working order.

Requirements

  • 5 GCSEs at grade C/4 or above, including English and Maths.
  • Good standard of computer skills, e.g. Microsoft Office.
  • Team working, organisational skills, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
