We are seeking a dedicated Literacy Support Assistant to join our team in Kingston. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to start or develop their career in education while supporting students with their literacy development.
About the RoleYou will be working within a supportive and inclusive school environment, assisting teachers in creating tailored literacy interventions, and helping students improve their reading, writing, and comprehension skills. This is a great opportunity for someone who is enthusiastic about education and wants to make a difference in the lives of students.
Key Responsibilities- Providing 1:1 and small group literacy support to students
- Assisting in the development of reading, writing, and comprehension skills
- Supporting teachers in creating tailored literacy interventions
- Helping students develop a love for reading and writing
We are looking for someone with a strong interest in literacy and education, experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A qualification in English or Literacy would be desirable but not essential.
Salary and BenefitsThe estimated salary for this role is £25,000-£30,000 per year, depending on experience. This is a competitive salary based on market standards. In addition to the salary, you will also receive benefits such as opportunities for professional development and a chance to work alongside experienced educators.
