Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school in Kingston-upon-Thames. As an SEN Learning Support Assistant, you will provide tailored support to students with a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN), both in the classroom and in small group settings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supporting students with SEN across the curriculum, both in-class and through small group work.
  • Implementing individualised learning plans to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Providing emotional and social support, helping students develop confidence and positive behaviour.
  • Assisting the classroom teacher with lesson preparation and adapting resources to suit the needs of SEN students.
  • Monitoring and tracking student progress and liaising with the SENCO and other staff to provide effective support.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Experience working in an educational setting, ideally as a SEN Teaching Assistant or in a similar role.
  • A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting students with additional learning needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals.
  • A genuine passion for supporting students to achieve their academic and personal best.
