Job Overview

The Role of a Counter Operations Manager:

Cultivating a customer-centric environment that consistently strives for enhanced performance and delivers a courteous, professional service to every customer. Collaborating with the store team to seize opportunities for increasing sales and enhancing customer traffic within the Post Office and Store. Ensuring the branch adheres to all relevant regulations and meets compliance and training standards set by the organization. Motivating and guiding the team to meet both individual and branch objectives, including sales targets, inventory control, and operational costs, within a culture that promotes growth and inclusivity. Partnering closely with the Cluster Manager to pinpoint cost-saving measures and sales enhancement opportunities by analyzing the Profit & Loss statement. Assisting the Cluster Manager throughout the employee lifecycle, from recruitment and training to performance reviews and disciplinary actions.

What We Seek in Our Counter Operations Manager:

Proven experience in retail management or a similar leadership role, ideally with a background in handling financial products or significant cash transactions. A track record of supporting the achievement of store objectives, including maximizing sales and managing inventory loss, along with familiarity with P&L management. Experience in meeting and exceeding ambitious targets while operating within stringent budget constraints. Capability to coach and develop team members to enhance overall performance. Demonstrated ability to lead by example, actively engaging with the team on the shop floor.
