Job Overview

The Role of a Counter Operations Manager:

Cultivating a customer-centric environment that consistently seeks to enhance service quality and provide a warm, professional experience for all patrons. Collaborating with the store team to identify opportunities for sales growth and increase customer traffic within the Post Office and retail space. Ensuring adherence to all relevant regulations and compliance standards set forth by the organization. Motivating and guiding the team to meet both individual and branch objectives, including sales targets, inventory management, and operational costs, in a setting that promotes inclusivity and development. Partnering with the Cluster Manager to uncover cost-saving measures and potential sales enhancements by analyzing financial performance. Assisting the Cluster Manager throughout the employee lifecycle, from hiring to performance evaluations, training, and disciplinary actions.

What We Value in Our Counter Operations Manager:

Proven experience in a retail management or leadership position, ideally with a background in handling financial services or significant cash transactions. Demonstrated ability to drive store objectives, including maximizing revenue, minimizing losses, and understanding financial statements. Track record of achieving ambitious targets while managing tight budgets. Capability to coach and develop team members to enhance overall performance. Experience in leading by example, actively engaging with the team on the sales floor.
