Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Governance Professional to provide expert clerking services to our Local Governing Bodies. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support, ensuring efficient conduct of meetings, and providing governance advice to boards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality clerking services to Local Governing Bodies, ensuring accurate and timely recording of minutes and decisions.
  • Offer expert governance advice to boards, ensuring compliance with procedures and regulations.
  • Develop and maintain a systematic approach to managing documentation for compliance and internal/external auditing.
  • Work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders, including governors, staff, and external partners.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office and email to communicate effectively and efficiently.
Requirements
  • Flexibility in working hours and ability to travel between schools (with virtual meeting options available).
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to work independently.
  • High-quality minute-taking and proof-reading skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and remain impartial.
  • Highly competent user of Microsoft Office and email.
