Job Title: Assistant Director of Governance

Nottingham CityCare Partnership CIC is seeking an experienced and skilled Assistant Director of Governance to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the effective governance of our organization.

About the Role

The Assistant Director of Governance will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and guidance on governance matters, ensuring that our organization operates in accordance with relevant laws, regulations, and standards. You will work closely with our Board of Directors, Executive Team, and other stakeholders to develop and implement effective governance arrangements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement governance policies, procedures, and frameworks to ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and standards.
  • Provide strategic guidance and advice to the Board of Directors, Executive Team, and other stakeholders on governance matters.
  • Ensure effective governance arrangements are in place, including the establishment of committees, working groups, and other governance structures.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including regulatory bodies, auditors, and other external partners.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the governance team, including the secretariat.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Significant experience in governance, preferably in a senior leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of governance laws, regulations, and standards, including the Companies Act, Charity Governance Code, and NHS Governance Framework.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines.
