About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Governance professional to join our team as Assistant Director of Governance at Nottingham CityCare Partnership CIC. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the effective governance of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic leadership and guidance on corporate governance matters, ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and standards.
  • Develop and implement effective governance frameworks, policies, and procedures to support the organization's strategic objectives.
  • Lead the governance team, providing direction, guidance, and support to ensure the effective delivery of governance services.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Team and Board of Directors to ensure that governance matters are effectively addressed and that the organization's strategic objectives are achieved.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including regulatory bodies, auditors, and other external partners.
  • Provide advice and guidance to the Board of Directors on governance matters, ensuring that they are fully informed and equipped to make effective decisions.
  • Ensure that the organization's governance arrangements are transparent, accountable, and effective in promoting good governance practices.
Requirements
  • Master's degree or equivalent level of experience in a relevant field, such as corporate governance, law, or business administration.
  • Proven experience in a senior governance role, preferably in a complex organization or the health/social care/public sector.
  • Strong knowledge of corporate governance principles, laws, and regulations, including the Companies Act and the NHS Constitution.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to provide strategic leadership and guidance on governance matters, ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and standards.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
