About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Governance Director to join our team at Nottingham CityCare Partnership CIC. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the effective governance of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic leadership and guidance on corporate governance matters, ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and standards.
  • Develop and implement effective governance frameworks, policies, and procedures to support the organization's strategic objectives.
  • Lead the development and maintenance of the organization's governance manual, ensuring it is up-to-date and compliant with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Provide advice and guidance to the Board of Directors, Executive Team, and other stakeholders on governance matters, including risk management, compliance, and corporate governance.
  • Ensure the effective operation of the Board of Directors, including the preparation of agendas, minutes, and other supporting documents.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including regulatory bodies, auditors, and other external partners.
  • Lead the development and implementation of the organization's risk management framework, ensuring it is aligned with the organization's strategic objectives.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the governance team, ensuring they have the necessary skills, knowledge, and resources to perform their roles effectively.
Requirements
  • Master's degree or equivalent level of experience in a relevant field, such as corporate governance, law, or business administration.
  • Proven experience in a senior governance role, preferably in a complex organization.
  • Strong knowledge of corporate governance principles, laws, and regulations, including the Companies Act and the NHS Constitution.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to provide strategic leadership and guidance on complex governance matters.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
