Key Duties:

  • Provide exceptional teaching and learning experiences tailored to the varied needs of students with SEN.
  • Design and execute personalized education plans (IEPs) to assist students in reaching their academic and personal aspirations.
  • Collaborate effectively with parents, guardians, and other professionals to ensure a comprehensive approach to student development.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and contribute to fostering an inclusive culture within the school.
  • Maintain thorough records and deliver regular updates on student progress.

Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, specializing in SEN.
  • Demonstrated experience working with students with diverse special educational needs, including autism spectrum disorder (ASD), ADHD, and learning difficulties.
  • Strong knowledge of the SEN Code of Practice and contemporary best practices in SEN education.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational abilities.
  • A compassionate and patient demeanor, with a sincere dedication to supporting the educational and emotional welfare of students.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one prior to appointment).
